Some Film Highlights

115 – 82 min,
Saturday 6:30 pm

In the ’80s, alien Emily crash-lands near the quaint town of Stony Plain, desperate to find the enigmatic fuel “115.” Stuck in a reverse time loop, she relives her mission daily, struggling to blend in while searching for the elusive substance. Every morning, kindhearted JT offers Emily a ride, and she glimpses something special in him that others overlook. As her encounters with the townsfolk spark hilarious misadventures, she unexpectedly finds love with JT, navigating the complexities of human behavior and dodging jealous Catherine’s advances. Faced with the reality that her salvation lies not in “115,” but in the bonds she’s formed, Emily must choose between her mission and the romantic connection that could break the cycle. A heartwarming, retro sci-fi rom-com that explores love’s power to transcend time and space, and why it takes more than a day to truly fall in love

Isaac Asimov: A Message to the Future, 70 min, Friday 8:45 PM

With more than 500 publications, Isaac Asimov is considered the father of science fiction. Thirty years after his death, he is back, thanks to the artificial intelligence that he had so cleverly imagined, to address humans to pass on the lesson of a lifetime: a method to anticipate the future of our world and especially to invent it.

The Monster Man, 80 min
Saturday 1:40 PM

There are many talented designers in the world creating the diverse and incredible range of alien creatures and monsters we see in top films and television series.
But there are few experts, very few, who are dedicated to preserving them after their screen use!
Tragically, many famous monsters have been treated poorly by museums and broadcasters, degraded and rotting, they have been lost forever!
As a life-long fan, NEIL COLE has made it his mission to save everything possible and he created The Museum of Classic Sci-Fi to achieve this.
In this monstrous documentary, we trace Neil’s story from the beginning and learn about the restoration and preservation techniques he has pioneered to save classic monsters for generations to come.
A unique man, a unique vision a unique story.
The Monster Man is here!
